Toni D’Alia is an award-winning, internationally published Australian author of children’s fiction and contemporary romance.
She is the author of Bees Are Our Friends, Worms Are Our Friends, Frogs Are Our Friends, The Easter Bunny Hop, Ten Little Guinea Pigs, All the Firsts, and My Father’s Arms. And she has more picture books on the way.
Worms Are Our Friends, the second book in the ‘Our Friends in the Garden’ series, was awarded a CBCA Notable Book of the Year for Early Childhood in 2025.
Toni loves to write books for children that empower, educate, entertain and inspire. She writes heartwarming stories that readers will treasure and want to read time and time again.
Toni also writes for adults. Her contemporary fiction has been published in the Romance Writers of Australia (RWA) “Jade” Little Gems Anthology (2018) and the RWA “Chocolate” Sweet Treats Anthology (2021).
She won first place in the RWA Sweet Treats Contest (2021), and she was a finalist in the RWA Sweet Treats Contest (2018) and RWA Publishing Basics Contest.
Toni is also a primary school teacher. She is passionate about literacy and children’s health and wellbeing. She loves to visit schools, kindergartens, libraries and bookshops to run writing workshops and meet readers.
